From the beginning, with a cameo from Thomas Hayden Church, we see a science experiment using old diving suits and a brutal murder to prove that this movie is going to be something unusually special.

Seth Rogen plays process server Dale Denton who gets his kicks out of using disguises in order to trick his victims into succumbing to his subpoena. Listening to talk radio, smoking weed out of his car all day and visiting his 18-year-old girlfriend in high school are what his daily life has come to consist of.

One day while trying to deliver a subpoena to one of the most dangerous drug dealers in town, he accidentally witnesses a murder. The criminals are able to track him and his drug dealer (James Franco) because of the rarity of the pot from the joint Denton tossed out of the car window when trying to flee the scene. The two find themselves in the middle of a full-out gang war which leads them on a crazy adventure. High-speed car chases and lots of physical comedy antics follow as the bad guys try to slay the life out of the pot-smoking pair. As the web tangles, Saul and Dale transform from clumsy stoners into clumsy action heroes who discover the importance of friendship.
