The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2 is a story of heartbreak, abandonment, forgiveness, love and discovery. It is about the struggle to be honest and most importantly friendship. Tibby (Amber Tamblyn), Bridget (Blake Lively), Lena (Alexis Bledel) and Carmen (America Ferrera) come back into our lives three years older and three years brighter. The girls are now 19 and have just ended their freshman years at college.
As most of us have grown to know, the first summer back from college brings lots of change. Emotionally and physically, people transform themselves without even noticing. With both the pants and their friendships fraying away, none of the girls knew what this summer was going to bring.
Carmen seems to be the most disappointed that their beloved rules and rituals of the pants are being broken. Her longed for summer reunion with her best gal pals also seems to evaporate as each voice separate plans. She ends up being propelled from backstage worker to on stage star at a Vermont theatre summer production of Shakespeare's The Winter's Tale.
