Innerpartysystem Exclusive Interview
Written by: Steven H., Senior Editor – Posted: Tue Aug 5th, 2008

Clumping together behind the row of tents backstage at Lollapalooza, Island Def Jam group Innerpartysystem was elated to be playing the festival, considering they've only released one EP so far. The Download EP, released in 2007, got the attention of the Def Jam team when the quickie album made a splash overseas, getting them signed to their major label deal and on tour with bands like Linkin Park at the Projekt Revolution tour this year.

With their forthcoming album slated for September, Innerpartysystem took a break from the Lolla mayhem during their string of back-to-back interviews. The quartet talked with Senior Editor Steven about why George Orwell's 1984 was the inspiration behind their band name, why they thought MGMT was such an awesome act to see at the festival and get stumped when they ponder what fans should expect from their debut album.
