High School Musical: Get in the Picture

The 12 finalists are flown to Utah to the set of High School Musical 3. Everyone is super excited to see the high school where Sharpay and Ryan can be found singing and dancing in the halls. Since the 12 finalists are going to be together for a while, the faculty thinks it would be best if everyone gets to know each other better. They all play a game where they have to go around the room and describe each other in two words. There are a lot of generic words being tossed around like "nice, happy, cool," but then some people get a little catty describing others as a "dumb blonde" or "intimidating". At the end of the day the finalists have gotten to know each other well and friendships are being formed.

The next day the finalists get to meet Lucas Grabeel who plays Ryan, and two of his other cast mates and the director of HSM, Kenny Ortega. Everyone is awestruck by their presence. Kenny wants everyone to jam together and everyone breaks out into impromptu song. Even Kenny joins in and starts jamming with everyone. What the finalists don't know is that Kenny will be the one judging their final performance in the competition, so these first impressions are crucial. Kenny than announces that all the finalists will get to be extras in a scene for High School Musical 3. Everyone starts shrieking with joy over their debut movie roles. They are going to be in a basketball scene, but the scene is filled with hundreds of extras, and the camera pans so fast over the crowd that no one is really visible. Oh well, at least they felt cool.
