When I was a summer camp counselor, in each group of kids there were a few who always sat out the athletic summer games like kickball, wiffle ball and anything else that would have them break a sweat. While most other counselors would chalk up their lack of participation in camp activities as laziness or social awkwardness, it was more of un-athletic-ness that was stopping them. Rather than force them to participate we always had a designated counselor who would play board games with the few kids on the side of the field, while the rest of them basked in summer camp kickball glory. While I do like sports, I do not consider myself athletic by any means so I could sympathize with the kids who never wanted to participate in the third game of kickball of the day. Instead, I devised up a list of some outdoor games that "grownups" and kids alike can enjoy, athletic physique or not.
