When I first saw the previews for Wanted, I knew it was one of those movies that I wanted to see regardless of whether it was lame or good. The movie definitely exceeded my expectations as the graphics took my breath away. I also enjoyed Angelina Jolie's character a lot, which is surprising because I don't care for her personally but she played a great heroine.
Directed by Timur Bekmambetov, the movie is about a plain guy named Wesley Gibson (James McAvoy) who gets frequent anxiety attacks and feels like he's just slowly wasting his life.
The unexpected happens when Fox (Angelina Jolie) goes into a drug store to pay Wesley a visit and reveal some exciting news, she tells Wesley that his father, who left Wesley when he was still a toddler, had passed away. She also reveals that Wesley's dad was a deadly assassin who finally met his match, Mr. X.
That is when Wesley learns that his world can be turned upside down. When Fox takes him to an unknown place, Sloan (Samuel L. Jackson) appears to introduce himself and tell him the surprising news that Wesley has inherited all of his deceased father's money as well as belongings.
