"Organic;" "Eco-friendly;" in the past few years terms we have only seen in the confines of our science classes are spilling over into the world of fashion. This one uses recycled packaging; that one swears to be "green," the trend towards a healthier and more fashionable planet seems to be great, but is everyone vying for a cleaner environment or just higher profits?
While we can not speak for some, we can dish on the details of organic company Stewart + Brown. In a time where, green was far from being the new black, red, white, brown, etc, designer couple Karen Stewart and Howard Brown decided to change all of that and opted to give fashionistas everywhere an organic way to create their own style...a move most clothing companies were a decade away from making.
