"Party for a purpose" is probably the most accurate description of the "Keep a Child Alive" event held on New York City's Upper East Side. The event, sponsored by Think Public Relations and Bobi Tees, was a whirlwind of fun, celebrities and, of course, clothes. This balmy night in June, brought many to gather, to schmooze and in my case to lovingly gaze at the tees, tanks and more from Bobi's collection, of whom fans include Nicole Richie and Sophia Bush, and I got even luckier to view up-and-coming jewelry company Shompole, whose collection is comprised of completely African-made products to help the people of this continent. Which was what the whole night was about...supporting those less fortunate...those who are plagued by AIDS.
