Most of us know what it's like to date a guy with less fashion sense than our own. Girls usually get the credit for being the ones to know the difference between a pencil skirt and an A-line skirt and which flatters whom. Guys on the other hand are known for grabbing a 30x32 pair of jeans and walking straight to the register. On the other hand, there is the girl out there who is dating the guy with just as much, if not more, fashion sense than herself. We all think this would mean that she gets a break, the lucky girl with a stylish guy. It turns out that's not always the case...Try Hanna and Arnold (Rodriguez is his real first name, even that's unique!) for example. They are a real couple buried in a relationship that exists between Long Island and New Jersey. Their style on the other hand, seems to flourish in the mutual ground of Uptown Manhattan, where Hanna attends school.
She seemed a little nervous as we first sat down at TGI Fridays to discuss her, Arnold, and the roll fashion plays in their relationship. She and Arnold have been dating for roughly nine months she tells me with a giggle. Good to know his name still makes her smile, though. It has to be said, judging from the pictures, you might be able to see that there is a distinct uniqueness to their love in the sense that fashion seems to be a clear part of it.
Fashion, however, is not necessarily what attracted Hanna and Arnold to each other, says Hanna. She recalls in precise detail that she noticed him in a group of friends she was out with one night as being lively and the center of attention. She recalls however, seeing him linked to her friend's Myspace, and thinking that his style was unique and cool, something that sparked her interest. The two hit it off, and then the third party of the relationship, known as Fashion, joined them.
