Most people look at broken beer bottles on the side of the road as garbage.
Kathleen Plate looks at those same "ugly" bottles and sees something with the potential to be beautiful.
"Beer bottles are my favorite," she says. "They are the most common of elements. You know, it's a beer bottle, but it comes out to be one of the most beautiful colors and most beautiful jewelry [I've seen]."
Ever since she was a little girl, Kathleen had a "passion for making things." Growing up in Washington with what she calls her "70's crafty mom," she learned about many different artistic styles such as the one that would propel her future career as a jewelry designer...the art of glass making.

Made from only recycled glass bottles, her necklaces, bracelets and earrings have been seen everywhere from episodes of Days of Our Lives to the lobes of famous stars like Sienna Miller.
